TORCHLIGHT 3 ENDGAME CONTENT UPDATE
I appreciate and give thanks to anyone who takes the time to provide objective, factual based insight. An update is coming to Torchlight 3 that will include a new pirate class, the Cursed Captain, as well as additional content and bug fixes. There is a limited list of gear (the Legendaries) that only gets added to the drop mix when you start a NG+, so there is that too. As far as equipment goes, the drops scale with the zone's level, so Map Works and NG+ will both get you access to the better gear. There are also maps (I havn't gotten there yet) that allow you to re-do high level maps for more replayability/better loot You will have access to MapWorks from the start.
You can start new instances of any dungeon for potentially endless gameplay. POE has a normal, cruel, and merciless mode. Torchlight II > Workshop > F430s Workshop. ROS introduces bounties, which are endless 2.0.1 allows you to reset quests for guaranteed legends by playing through the whole story again. I just care about gameplay and long term replayability.ĭiablo 3 allows you to replay missions over and over again.
That's not what I look for in an action rpg (Which I've heard many say Torchlight 2 is). if you are searching for another game to spend time with then yes - I had lots of fun (about 20hrs so far) and for sure had worse game deals for /hr of gameplay in my past.
What I'm asking for essentially, is what the Torchlight 2 endless counterpart is, if there is any? I'm asking because I'm curious and want to know if this game is a good investment. depends on your expectations, if for 30 you expect a fully working game with endgame content, balaced classes and a lot of customizable gameplay - then no, you shouldn't buy. I have factual, objective based intentions with this thread *** **** I am NOT asking which of the 3 games is the best.
